Daneson toothpicks are made from bone white American northern white birch. All our blends are made with authentic natural extracts and essential oils. What may seem like a simple flavour are actually blends of many dozens of natural extracts to give you balanced, long-lasting experiences.
Our toothpicks are seared in our proprietary production process. This has the added benefit of distinguishing a Daneson from the average toothpick.
TO USE: When you use a Daneson, we recommend having the seared tip facing outwards. All our recipes benefit from a gentle chew and time drawing out the heart of the ingredients set deep in the birch. This releases the botanicals, phenols, and oils trapped in the cellulose of the wood. However, don’t expect explosions of flavour akin to artificially flavoured toothpicks. We use real natural ingredients so it can take time for the flavour to work its way out of the wood onto your taste buds.
With our spirit-based toothpicks - bare in mind that shortly after bottling our toothpicks, the hair-lip inducing taste of alcohol has flashed away. What is left behind are the mellow phenols and cask attributes of the booze.

Single Malt No. 16:
Fourteen-year-old Islay scotch whisky imbued with notes of oak tannins, peat, almond, and vanilla. Give this one a minute and a gentle chew to release the flavours seated deep in the wood.
Bourbon No. 22:
Steeped in six-year-old cask strength Kentucky straight bourbon. Expect notes of oak, leather, caramel, and almond and hints of fruit once this toothpick is warmed up.
Whether it’s Single Malt or Bourbon there is one thing to know about whiskey. The dominant tasting note for both these spirits comes from the oak barrels they are aged in. If at first glance, our toothpicks taste a lot like wood don’t be surprised - that’s the oak of the barrel leading the charge.
If you give it a minute and a gentle bite, the essence of the spirit - the botanicals, extracts, and phenols - will start to release from deep inside the birch rewarding you with the more delicate and delicious tasting notes.
Cinna Mint No. 7:
A warm and spicy classic that is welcoming. Sweetened with a touch of peppermint, not sugar, and a note of clove this is a timeless recipe.
All our blends are made with authentic extracts and essential oils. What may seem like a simple flavour, in this case Cinnamon, is actually a blend of many natural cinnamon bark and leaf oils that are balanced out with other ingredients like cassia and peppermint to make a well rounded recipe.
Mint No. 9:
Worked over for two-years our Mint No.9 includes a menagerie of mint varieties and pleasing ingredients like wintergreen, peppermint, sweet fennel, juniper, and several other natural oils.
A creation that was well worth the effort - this recipe is one of our most popular, robust and long lasting blends.
