Canadian-made art prints, ready for framing.
Cabin Journal is a small stationery company based in Toronto, Canada. At Cabin, we delight in limited print runs and variety. Our designs draw influence from Canada's diverse native flora and fauna, textile patterns from vintage fabrics and found ephemera spotted during antique market visits, and personal nostalgia. Cabin was created by Emily Taylor, an illustrator and textile designer with a passion for the personal and tactile experience of all things paper. Emily loves collaboration and custom projects so please feel free to reach out if you have a potential project in mind!
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Proudly Canadian, we are committed to keeping as much of the production and suppliers within Canada as possible - we love supporting local businesses where we can and keeping our eco footprint as small as we can. Our risograph inks are all soy-based, and our screen printing inks are water-based (rather than acrylic). Our tea towels fabrics are organic linen-cotton, sourced by a Canadian company, and all of our cardstocks and envelopes are from North American paper mills and are FSC certified.
A NOTE ABOUT THE INKS
Due to the nature of the vegetable (soy) inks, they can sometimes smudge slightly with handling (like newspaper inks), so please take care around light-coloured clothing and furniture.
ALSO Risograph ink colours are brighter in person than represented online; accurately capturing fluorescents on camera is impossible!
**Any smudges from fingerprints, etc. around the edges of your print or on cards can be removed easily by rubbing them off with a CLEAN WHITE art eraser.**
