Marmalade is a jewelry company run by owner/maker Kate Singer out of her studio in downtown Toronto, Canada. Because all of the jewelry is locally made in our studio, Marmalade is able to offer a wide assortment of designs and imagery.

Marmalade takes pride in using local production for its casting needs, and employing graduates from the local Jewelry Arts program in the studio. From the die maker who handmakes our paper cutting dies out of his garage, to the stampmaker, who makes our custom stamps in his shop just down the street; we have benefitted from so many skilled tradespeople and make it our mission to keep traditional handmade processes thriving in our local economy.
Our jewelry is made entirely by hand in Toronto, Canada. All of our original designs are made in the Marmalade Studio.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
SILVER AND BRONZE COLLECTION
This collection is made entirely of sterling silver and bronze. A patina has been applied to the metals in order to give it an authentically aged look, and to emphasize the fine details of the images. With time and wear this patina will age - it will likely lighten in places that are in contact with your skin, and darken in the recessed areas. The bronze may darken slightly when especially humid, or when exposed to certain lotions or perfumes, but can be easily polished back to its original shine. To polish, rub with a baking soda/water paste and a soft toothbrush, or use a silver polishing cloth. It's safe to wear your jewelry in the shower, but best to take it off for swimming in pools or hot tubs.
SILVER AND FABRIC COLLECTION
This collection is made of brushed sterling silver and a resin coating. The sterling silver can be cleaned using a soft bristled tooth brush and a baking soda/water paste, or toothpaste. Do not use harsh dips or polishing cloths as these will remove the matte finish.
Chains, or other all silver items, can be dipped, cleaned with a cloth, or cleaned using the old tin foil/baking soda trick! Simply lay your pieces on a piece of tin foil (sculpted into a dish shape), sprinkle with baking soda, and then pour boiling water over top. A reaction occurs and strips your silver of any tarnish.
